I was 14 with a ton of adults and had no clue what I was doing on this stage. How could they choose me to be here? I ended up having the best time because people were asking me questions, and I had full answers for them with concrete details and facts. It made me realize just how much I love public speaking. That was a major first for me—that I like having a mic in my hand.
