About the Author

Dr. Royal Berglee is currently a Professor of Geography and Global Studies at Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky. He is originally from Montana and received his undergraduate and masters degrees from the University of North Dakota. He received his doctorate in Economic Geography from Indiana State University with research interests in heritage tourism and global development patterns. In addition to regularly teaching World Geography, Dr. Berglee is the program coordinator for the Global Studies program, which includes course in international tourism, global culture, and globalization. He has taught courses in other countries and encourages students to take advantage of study-abroad opportunities.
